SSID remembered

After having been connected to another WiFi network than my own, and
returning home to it, Vista still reports being connected to the
no-longer-connected network. With my own SSID in parenthesis. This remains
so even after several restarts from cold. Can it never forget?

Another little Vista bug, I presume...

What make and model computer, what brand/model WiFi adapter and chip, and
whose driver is involved?
