i removed the bat.mumu.A.worm using Norton. However i get two messages when i start the computer
(1) ss.bat in the title bar: stating can not find file ss.bat or one of its components make sure path and file name are correct and all library available
(2) Destop is in the title bar: can not load or run ss.bat in registry or remove from reg

How do i get rid of these messages.

Thanks

Start\Settings\Control Panel\Administrative Tools\Computer
Management(Local)\System Information\Software Environment\Startup
Programs|View|Advanced, then in the "Location" column, you'll find the path
to the "Startup" location either in the "Startup" directories or from the
registry's "Run" keys.

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
%USERPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

You can delete the shortcuts that you no longer want to run.

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

You can delete the string value for the program you no longer want to run.

You'll need to run regedit.exe and navigate to;

for the registry;
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

or through the file system to;
%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\lear\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Ok

I got to the regedit and went under both
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

and the ss.bat files are not there. I see Norton
yahoo, etc. but the worm related files

I did however find the dragoon related files I think
they are related to the worm under:
Winnt
System 32
Con1
Dragoon

Please help I still get those annoying messages upon
startup

thanks

Did you look in; Start\Settings\Control Panel\Administrative Tools\Computer
Management(Local)\System Information\Software Environment\Startup
Programs|View|Advanced, then in the "Location" column, you'll find the path
to the "Startup" location
