Need printer help sRGB.ICM

I am trying to install a HP deskjet 3930 printer. When going through the installation, I get this message that says I need sRGB.ICM to install Windows XP CD. My computer came with XP and I don't have a CD.

I ran into this problem with a HP scanner a while back. I ended up taking it back because I couldn't install it.

I have service pack 2.

Can anyone help me?

srgb.icm should be in a driver.cab in you Windows directory ... c:\windows\driver cache\i386\driver.cab

If not, ask your PC manufaturer for an original XP CD. ;)

I checked the location c:\windows\driver cache\i386\driver.cab and the file is not there.

I think my computer is about 5 years old. It's a Sony. If I contact Sony, they will be willing to send me a Windows XP CD?

I doubt it, did you get any CDs at all with the PC?

If you did, try searching them, or use Google. :thumb:

I simply copied the driver from my computer at work and pasted it in the location that it should be.

Why didn't I think of that sooner?

Thanks for your replies. I appreciate the help!
