sreen saver will not work with group policy

I have a 2000 domain (AD). I have setup group policy to use the screen saver, and to time out after 3 min. then it requires a password to get back in. The problem is that after 3 min. the screen goes to a blank logon screen and the user has to log back in, the screen saver never goes off. I have made a batch file that copies the screen saver to the local machine directly under the "c:\desktop\" folder that is created by a batch file, the file and folder are created. In the group policy for the screen saver I put the location as "c:\desktop\ssstar.scr". Almost forgot it does not work on any of the computers in the domain. They are win2000 or winXP Pro. machines and are up to date an SP. Hope this is enough info if not let me know. Thanks

Try putting in logon.scr or another default screensaver, instead of the path
to the screensaver the batch file put out to the ssstar screensaver. Just a
thought.
