SQL Server Migration Assistant...

Hello!

Say, I'm in process of 'migrating' an Access 2003 DB to SQL Server 2005
using the SQL Server Migration Assistant for Access. I'm thinking of
'splitting' the DB in Access 2003. Under the 'instructions' (Adding and
Removing Access Database Files) and under the part (What Happens When You Add
Access Database Files? and under the Note: part - "An Access database can be
...."), it says "If you want to migrate a split database to SQL Server, add
the front-end database to SSMA". Is this correct?? It wouldn't be the
'back-end'...?? If the 'front-end' is correct, what is happening here??

It is common to use an Access front-end against any number of back-end data
stores, including Access/JET or SQL-Server.

There's not necessarily a need to migrate the front-end anywhere.
