SQL Server 2005 and IIS 7

I have a Dell laptop and recently upgraded XP Professional to Vista Business
edition.
While tring to install SQL server 2005 developer's edition as it ran through
the preparation steps I received a warning that IIS was not installed and
therefore Reporting Services cannot be installed. I cancelled the
installation and went into Control Panel and went to add/remove windows
components. IIS was listed although not all the features were installed. I
successfully installed most of the uninstalled components with the exception
of ASP.NET. On trying to add this I received an error message saying that
some of the components could not be added. I still can't get to the IIS site
when I type http:/localhost and SQL Server still does not recognize that IIS
is installed. Can anyone help me please? Thanks

My advice here would be to back up any data you have, boot off of the
Upgrade CD/DVD, which you can do, format the HD and lay down Vista fresh.
However, that's what I would do in this situation to come around this
quickly.
