sql querries

Dim dbs As Database and Dim rst As Recordset give me
errors that user-defined type not defined.
is there anything i have to define before using them?

In the vbe you must create a reference to the current version of DAO.

of course your DAO is probably newer than the cited version 3.0, so
reference the newest version.
