"SQL Queries for Mere Mortals"

I need to learn more about creating queries in Access and I'm wondering if
you all would recomend this book? I need something easy to read and
understand. I have only ever worked with MS Access and not SQL Server. I
have only created databases with Access and would like to continue. Will
this book help me on the query side?

Thanks,

CEV

Dear CEV:

I recommend going to a bookstore with a well stocked computer technical
section. Spend a few hours to find books that meet your learning level and
perhaps some specific needs you have.

I have the book you mention, but it isn't the only one to which I refer.

This is an excellent book. It presents queries in standard SQL and the
material is written for use with any database product. It comes with a
CD with all the SQL in Access 2000 format, so you can see exactly how
all the queries look in Access design view. It is hard to think that
anyone would recommend against this book for a beginning or intermediate
user. I do not think you can go wrong with this book.

That book is what gave me my first real understanding of SQL
construction...and then I've gone beyond it by "doing" and "trying".

Good book..
