Doug Parker Office-Outlook

XP Media Center, v5.1 SP3, Office 2007

Error message on system restart--after
rebooting, before the login screen appears:

Quote:
Your SQL server installation is either corrput or has
been tampered with (could not open SQLEVN70.DLL)
Please uninstall and then rerun setup to correct this
problem.

A google search shows a potential fix by
simply renaming the computer's name back
if it has been changed. Those instructions
assume I have a full-fledged SQL install
CD--which I don't--I'm only using the SQL
from the Outlook installation.

Outlook Business Contact Manager is the
only SQL program running, AFAIK. Don't
tell me I have to uninstall Outlook and
reinstall it, that's a royal PITA.
There's got to be a nicer, cleaner way
to make this go away...

You should only need to uninstall BCM and reinstall.

Did you rename the computer after installing BCM? If so, did you see if
renaming it fixes it?
