SQL error on startup

During the boot up of my computer, I get the following message: "SQLDUMPER
library failed initialization. You installation is either corrupt or has been
tampered with. Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem"

Does this mean uninstall Windows XP? Or is there some other program this
message refers to?

There are elements of SQL Server that are part of Windows. Sqldumper is
used for diagnostic purposes with the Dr Watson program in Windows. It is
often used by MS Product Support Services in analysing an issue when you
report a problem and ask for help. You should be able to repair sqldumper
by running the System File Checker utility in Windows. To run the utility:

Click Start and then Run (lower right on the menu pane). (do not include
quotes in the following) Type "command" and hit Enter. At the prompt in the
command window type "sfc /scannow". Be sure to include the space after sfc.
It may ask for you to insert your Windows cd in a drive.

Hi, I used the command you've suggested, below. However, my issue with this
same message "SQLDUMPER library failed initialization...." seems to be coming
from the Windows XP Professional Trial Edition. I've tried to unistall this
version, but it still shows up under "Add/Remove Programs", but not under the
Windows Install Clean up. When running the application you suggested, it
asks that I insert the Windows XP Professional CD, which I don't have because
I never purchased it and did not proceed with the trial and so that command
is not working for me. I unistalled the trial version from my Windows Install
Clean Up and when I tried to remove it from the Add/Remove Programs under the
control panel, I am unable to do so. And now this SQLDUMPER message pops up
at every reboot. Any suggestions?
