Your more then welcome Randy. We are getting plenty of snow here in CT., and
probably more for Xmas eve. Looks pretty, but NOT fun to shovel. Liked it
when I was younger, but too old for this stuff now.

snow mixed with freezing rain, about 2 inches of it
today, it is raining
my son who lives in the north part of NJ got 4 inches of snow friday and
expects 3 inches today.
and I agree, it looks real pretty but is yucky to shovel and walk on

You can keep it Randy. We got about 8" where I live, and the northern part
got about a foot. This morning we got another couple of inches, now it is
raining and going to get cold, single digits with lots of wind.
When the kids were small, this was fun, now it is a pain!! LOL

I totally agree, yucky to shovel. Cars are still sliding around here, even
though the streets have been plowed. Thank goodness most of my Xmas shopping
is done, and I just need to pick up 2 items tomorrow. Enjoy....;-)

I've a preference for actual snow rather than the slush and ice that we get
here. I lived in the snow belt in New York state for a period of time--we
had three steps off the back door which completely went away in the
winter....

Oh boy, do I ever hear you on that!!! Years ago I was taking my dog for her
nightly walk, and did NOT see the thin layer of ice on the tip of the top
step, we have 11 going down the deck. I went flying, and thank God I had on
such a heavy coat, as I probably would have gotten extremely hurt.
For 2 weeks I had perfect black and blue lines across my back where I hit 3
steps. I swear, they looked like they were painted on my back. Don't think I
hit my head, or maybe I did, as some things I do, makes me wonder.
(KIDDING...sort of)
Stay warm folks, spring is only 4 months away. ;-)

On and off snow and rain, and then the sun came out about 3...WEIRD!! A
friend just plowed our driveway for the 4th time since yesterday. I can
already feel my aching back when I have to shovel the deck.

Ouch! We had a coating of ice this morning but it wasn't too bad, and the
sun came out in mid afternoon and melted most of it --the trees with the
thin ice still on them and the sun out were magical.
We had a really nasty ice storm 5 or 6 years ago--a good half inch at least
on everything--very little moved for a number of days.

Yup, that was really sore for awhile, but I feel lucky I didn't break anything!
It's been going down in the single digits here at night, and except for
today, only 20's during the day. I have huge icycles hanging off my gutters,
and I can see a few branches out back that will need cutting when we can get
to them.
Ice really does a number on things, and it makes it hard to get rid of. Oh
well, if the weather folks are right, suppose to warm up by the weekend, so
maybe we can get some of this junk cleared. I need to win the lottery so I
can be a snowbird in the winter and go south!!! LOL Take care, and stay
warm. JJ
