Downloaded spywareblast, looks okay but no mention of alerts.

don't think it warns you because it only stops spyware , it doesn't
give you a choice ..... it mostly stops "drive - by - installs" , that
is stuff that might install in the background without you knowing it
........... of course if you purposely install something you are on your
own... so you should have several different anti-spyware programs to
catch and remove junk...
if you have a newer fast computer you could get "Windows Defender"
from Microsoft it's free and good but uses quite a bit of computer
power to run... plus it doesn't remove microsoft's spyware ........
that's why many people don't care for it...
whatever you get you must still update the signuture files once and a
while (like every Sun. or whatever day is good for you)
