Thank you for your quick reply.
I know very little about computers. Which are the steps to follow in a
computer with OS Windows XP Home Edition? Please...
Thank you,

Restart the computer. After the beep, hit F8 repeatedly and you will get
a list. Choose Safe Mode with the arrows on your keyboard and hit Enter.
Once in Safe Mode, run your anti spy/ad/malware programs. You should run
your anti virus program in Safe Mode as well.

Thank you.
This is for my son's laptop. The first time I asked for help in June he was
at home on vacation but now he already went back to College. I am going to
pass him your instructions and will let you know as soon as I hear from him
if it worked.
Let's keep our fingers crossed. This is a software that I like and I hate to
think that it is impossible to run the scan.
Now I only hope that my son is half as quick to follow the instructions as
you to answer to my request for help!
Thank you again, I will keep you posted.

Hi,
Taking advantage that you are talking about Ad-Aware software, I would
like
to ask for your help. On June 30, 2006 I posted the following and so far
nobody has been able to help me:

I am also having problems in one computer with Ad-aware SE 1.06r1, when
performing a system scan it always freezes at the same file:
Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDLLs...
so we are unable to make the scan.
We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it again, but the problem
persists. It used to work properly.
The rest of the computers at home have this program and there is no
problem
with it.

Your help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you so much.

If possible, please help!
Thank you,

Have you contacted Adaware tech support?

I have the free version of Ad-Aware and I thought I don't get tech support
for that. am I wrong?
Thanks
