Spyware vs Lavasoft

After the scan run on MS Anti Spyware Beta program and
finding nothing, I ran Lavasoft this morning and found an
additional 13 critical objects lurking on my system. Why
doesn't MS Anti Spyware find some of the same objects
Lavasoft does?

Microsoft AntiSpyware does not detect cookies in this build.

Remember MSAS is still in beta 1 stage and should not be judged like a
finished shipping product, we should expect better improvements by beta 2.
It is feedback like ours that helps to make it better.

Have you tried running a full system scan in safe mode? On the Scan Page in
MSAS, choose Scan Options > Full System Scan.
