spyware - stopped running 3 wks after install

Hi all - as the subject line says, spyware stopped
running 3 wks after install. Antivirus program found
system was hit by a virus on that date, but it was
successfully quarantined. Could that have messed up the
Spyware? It could not be opened; kept giving message
like "spyware has failed; retry or cancel?".

I finally removed it fully tonight and will download
another copy. Has this happened to anyone else, and what
can be done to prevent it from happening again?

What probably happened is a virus got into one of the MSAS files and when
you quarentined it it moved the file out of the MSAS folder. This then
caused MSAS to not wor because it needs these files to run. So a fresh
install should solve your problem, if not, let us know what's going on.

You can repair Windows AntiSpyware using Add or Remove Programs in Control
Panel. Click Microsoft AntiSpyware and click Change. Click Next, and then
click Update.
