Spyware Removers FYI

Rick

Just finished reading an article in PCWorld ( Oct. pp 101-108) about
spyware removers. The old "standbys" Ad-Ware and SpyBot Search and
Destroy as well as Windows Defender did not show themselves to be very
good. I ran all three one after the other and they indicated no
problems, then I ran PC Tools Spyware Doctor and it found 6 files, one
being a Trojan. I would recommend the PC Tools product too.

I read this too. Spyware Terminator got a bad review somewhere also.I
uninstalled Ad-Aware (it was buggy anyway) & now use A squared as a
passive scanner in addition to a free version of Spyware Doctor.
