spyware and pop-up blockers etc

I want to install anti-spyware and pop-up blockers and
have followed links through mvps.org. However, when I try
to open files such as CWShredder I am asked what I would
like to open it in. Also, they often need unzipping and
dont have a program to do this, so I cannot run the
downloaded files. Please talk me through sorting out a
download of winzip (maybe) and then how to install the
required programs. I am something of a novice and need
some help so I dont mess it up completely! One other
thing, I chose internet explorer (stupidly!) to open the
files and because i did not uncheck the box which asks if
i would always like to use this program it now does not
give me a choice, it just doesnt work. Thanks, Andy
 
Hello go to spysweeper and choose free download and go to
popupstopper.com and choose that free download. they are
not zipped files.
