Spybots Search and Destroy, disabled internet options access and/or general tab missing

If you are using the Immunize function of Spybot's Search and Destroy adware
product, it is possible that you may have created the "disabled internet
options" or "missing general tab" condition for yourself. There are two
check boxes dealing with IE options that toggle access to the tools/options
menu setting in IE. Check them and you don't get access, uncheck them and
access returns. You must exit and reenter IE for setting to take. The
registry entries discussed with "missing general tab" posts are very similar
to what Spybot changes in the registry. If Spybot is the cause, you don't
have to mess with your registry!

Jay,
FYI: SpyBot's Immunize feature does *not* generate the "missing General
Tab".
It does create 2 seperate entries:
1) NoBrowserOptions (disables Internet Options)
2) HomePage (disables the Home Page section on the General Tab)
