Spybot Socket Error Message

When try to download updates for Spybot Search & Destroy,
get Socket Error #10061 message. Have uninstalled/reinstalled
program which didn't help. Googling this error message didn't
provide solution other than disabling Firewall which didn't help
either and links to Registry Fix programs. Using WinXP Pro SP2

Any other ideas much appreciated.
