Note: *Many* of the Update Mirror Sites are Giving "Bad Checksum" at this point.
You may want to wait until later to update and save the grief of finding a Mirror that
is hosting the Updates.

Note 2: Re-Immunize //numerous// times to ensure full protection.

Hi Randy,

I've posted this about a month ago, but I'll repeat it here:

"I HAD upgraded to v 1.6 on my own last Monday. After the installation, I
began to notice a slight lag in my PC's performance.

For example, when I clicked on a folder in Windows Explorer, there was a
very slight hesitation before the files would display. Additionally, Web
pages loaded more slowly as did applications such as Word, Excel, etc.

I uninstalled v 1.6 and went back to 1.52 on Friday evening. My PC is
working the way it used to.

I don't plan on upgrading to v 1.6 unless I absolutely have to."

At the end of the information in the link you provided --
http://www.spybot.info/en/news/2008-09-22.html -- it says: "If you have any
serious reasons for not updating to 1.6, let us know on the forum!"

There are a LOT of forums in the SpyBot site. Is there any particular one to
which I should be posting my 'complaint' about v 1.6?

Sounds like the time has come to say goodbye to Spybot. I don't use it as a
scanner, but for its immunisations. Which raises a question that has been
asked before. Spybot has something like 40,000 entries associated with its
immunisation - 3 or 4 times the number that Spywareblaster has. Does this
mean that Spywareblaster only offers about 30% of the protection that
Spybot's immunisation does? I can't believe that, somehow.

Up to now I've used both, but if I'm to abandon Spybot, it seems important
to know the answer.

Hi Alan,

Sorry to hear you were/are experiencing issues with the new build.
Note that what you are currently running is *no* longer supported!
Subsequently, the update Mirrors may not recognize your build when
attempting on Online Update :-(
