spurious login screen popping up.....

I've succeeded in getting the boot-up sequence to happen
without it requiring me to log on.

However, I've noticed that there are still more than one
user, listed, where ever that is listed.

And, after the screen-saver/power-saver comes back from the
dead, it requests one to choose from a list of users. (Two,
in this case.)

How can I eliminate all but myself, in all aspects?

Windows XP Pro 64-bit

How did you get the boot-up to happen without log on? I want to do the
same thing.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Try this:

Start > Run > control userpasswords2

Remove the check mark next to Users must enter a user name and pasword
to use this computer.

* Right click Desktop and select properties
- On the display click on Screen saver
- Under screen saver settings uncheck this box:
[ ] On resume, display Welcome screen uncheck this Box and Click [OK]
Next time the computer Idle or standby it will log in without the Welcome
screen.
HTH.

Thanks, but I did that before I posted my question!

I thought that would take care of it.

Well.... I just found another thing to uncheck...

Screen Saver/Power/Advanced
"Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby."

I unchecked that, and we'll see if that does it.
