Working with XP home version I cannot select non adjacent cells. Is this
just me or has XP home this function ?

How do you know it's an Excel issue? How do you know she's not using Works
or WP Office?

No....the Spreadsheet application would have that function.....
nothing to do with the Windows OS.

It would not necessarily be Excel - it has not been stated that this is what
the OP is using.

Not a mistake, Bert, just an observation. It doesn't do any good to assume
anything round here... It may very well BE Excel but, OTOH, it could also be
either of the others (or OpenOffice or even, though I doubt these days, 123,
though does anyone STILL use Lotus?)

You'll need to read the instruction manual and/or the Help Files of
whatever spreadsheet application you're using. As an operating system,
WinXP Home naturally has no spreadsheet capabilities, whatsoever.
