Spouse Birthday

Any way to add "Spouse's Birthday" into Outlook contact standard contact form
without designing a custom form. My ultimate objective is to have the
birthdate added as a reminder on my Calendar as a reoccurance (just as the
contact birthday and anniversary fields are)?

I amy have misunderstood your question, but on those important, reoccuring
dates, I simply do them in CALENDAR on the date and click the reoccurance so
they come up and use reminder as well a few days in advance.

Yes, that's a great way to do it -too simple to have occurred to me!
I was referring to the standard contact form with the birthday and anniversary
controls. We do all our inputting via that form and was hoping to keep the
routine the same, so that our clients birthdays (husband and wife) are
"remmebered" and tied directly to their contact form and other information. I
thought I may have missed a drop-down or something-or-other that allowed me
to enter both spouses' b-days. Thanks, I appreciate it!

Hmmmm - - -understand better now, but do not know that Outlook can do that.
unaware of any bolt on program that does.

Yeah, Outlook standard Contact forms is pretty much set up for business
contacts, where as most of my clients are husband and wife. There is a place
for only one birthday on the standard form. I guess I'll have to add another
birthday fieldafter exploring around a bit through some of the other forms.
Thanks for your help.

You can do this. I WANT to do this. But the problem is know how to program is
VB. I can design the form. Get the Form to populate adn show the info. The
problem is getting the date, reminder and the spouse name on the calendar. I
have searched for 3 years and NO ONE has posted the formula or give help on
this. They just say "Yes it can be done you have to do this in VB". Great.
But I do not know VB. So if you find out PLEASE PLEASE...PRETTY Please. Send
it to me. :)

I have wanted this functionality for years. Adding the spouse and children's
birthday directly to the calendar tends to "clog" the calendar events.
Especially when you have over 1,000 contacts.

In addition to the anniversary date, I would like Outlook have a place to
store the Spouse and Children's birthday and trigger a pop up reminder on the
day of event.

I have read some threads that recommend creating a "new" contact for each
person. Obviously, this is not desired.

Thanks for any help. . .

Thank you Diane!

You could enter them in Excel and import to create appointments.

Diane you give the answers that makes a business person want to pull their
hair out or at least scream. We prefer not having "more work" type solutions
and suggest Microsoft institute some changes for the customers. I can assure
you any business person with multiple clients, esp in our field of finance -
excess of 300, would appreciate having data in one place. Apparently the
request is feasible as "Contact Plus" has done it. I will be free of
Microsoft by year's end and working with a different OS and going to cloud
computing and online email etc etc etc. Moreover your BCM software is a joke
when one tries to interface it with the contacts.

Wow! When did Diane purchase the rights to the Business Contact Manager, when
she doesn't even work for Microsoft?

You aren't listening, are you?

OUTLOOK IS NOT A CRM APPLICATION.

If you want a CRM application THEN BUY ONE - don't try to get changes
implemented into an application that is NOT DESIGNED to be a CRM
application.

Well, actually, I think Outlook with Business Contact Manager is supposed to
be a CRM.
