Sounds like snake oil. Any website that says their software is Awesome
!!!! with lots of exclamation points is immediately suspect.

If your computer will not even go into Safe Mode or boot to Last Known
Good Configuration (from the same menu where you find Safe Mode), you
have a hardware problem and even the Most!! Awesome!! Software!! will be
useles. Either do hardware troubleshooting yourself or take the machine
to a qualified professional computer shop (not a
BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place).

Hi:

If your computer will not go into Safe Mode or you can't restore last
known configuration I agree with Malke's reply that it is most likely a
hardware problem.

I had a friend recently that had a Dell desktop that would not bootup and
it was his hard drive. Dell had a disk that I could run a hard drive
diagnostic tool which indicated a bad sector. Dell offered to replace the
hard drive.
However, I used a program called Spinrite that transferred the data from the
bad sector into a good sector and blocked out the bad sector afterwards.
Running Spinrite at the default level 2 will take about an hour for each
120GB. If it encounters lots of problems it will automatically go to Level 4
for repair of hard drive. After running Spinrite from the bootable CD his
comnputer booted back up with no problems.

You can make a bootable Spinrite CD that you can use to run the program. I
would certainly buy and use Spinrite if you can run a diagnostic check on
your hard drive and find bad sectors. Spinrite is a proven application
whereas Spotmau sounds like what Malke said about it.

Can Spinrite be used on more then one PC ? Or is it only for the one
that downloaded program ?

I've downloaded it, not really impressed... The Utilities that come
with it can pretty much be found on any other shareware application to
perform maintenance... If you want to repair corrupt windows, you'd
be much better grabbing a copy of Hiren's Boot CD! Much more useful
utilities.... The Spotmau utilities I installed, I've been trying to
find a use for them since I bought them... Not what I had hoped
for...
