Trying to create a home network on new computer running
Windows XP using Network setup Wizard. During the process
received a message "Spooler SubSystem App has encounted a
problem and needs to close"
As a result I cannot create a home network with this
computer and the old Windows 98 computer

Greetings Marshall,

First, take a look at the following MS KB article before
following these instructions. Try stopping the spooler
service before setting up the home network. Here's what
you do.

1. Open a command prompt window.

2. Stop the spooler service - type "net stop spooler"
(without quotes) and hit the ENTER key.

3. Then setup the network. After you finish then you can
restart the service.

NOTE: You can restart the spooler service by typing "net
start spooler" (without quotes) or rebooting the machine.
