Using Xin XP Pro I am trying to change spool and temp folder attributes in
vain.

Both of them are read only.

This is the cause, I think, of printing to pdf problem.

I will deeply appreciate any help.

Thank you. Now I can change a spool folder, but where is the hidden clue to
change the spool and temp folder attributes?

Every time unchecked the attributes box retourns to the previous state :
'read only'. Is is frustrating, well, a bit.

I am simly very curious.

Thank you in advance for any suggestion.

Don't be fooled by the green square inside the Read Only check box.

In Windows Explorer, select View, Details. Then select View, Choose Details
and add a check mark beside Attributes.

Does an "R" appear in the Attributes column? If not, the folder (file) is
not Read Only.

Thank you very much. You are right.

Still not able to print to Acrobat PDF.
I thought the Read Only attribute in spool folder was the reason.

308421 - HOW TO Take Ownership of a File or Folder in Windows XP:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q308421

Where it says
"Right-click the folder you want to take ownership of, and then click
Properties. Click the Security tab, and then click OK on the Security
message (if one appears)."

In my windows XP, there's no security tab when I choose "properties".
What should I do to see the security options, like I used to in
win2000?
