Splitting project

When you talk about deleting one half of the project (in
order to split the project up into smaller working pieces)
do you delete each individual picture and effect one by
one or is there a way of selecting the whole section and
then to delete in one fell swoop.

You also then save each "chunk" as a Dvi correct?

Diane,

On selecting a batch of clips, select the first of the batch with your
mouse, hold down the shift key to 'anchor' the selection, then select the
last of the batch with your mouse. Let go of the shift key and all the clips
from first to last will be selected. Then a single Delete key.

The choice of rendering quality would depend on your publication method...
if you're heading to TV viewing on a DVD, or back to camcorder tape, yes....
DV-AVI would be the right choice to render each chunk.
