splitting database

I have a database with a switchboard form. When I open the
database naturally this switchboard form appears. When I
tried to split the database with the wizard I run into
trouble because of this open form. How can I either: a)
deactivate the switchboard form or b)go around it somehow?

You can bypass all startup actions/code by holding down the Shift Key when
you open the database.
