what i want to do is play the video from one clip while playing the audio
from another clip....is this possible? i know how to mute audio on a clip but
when i try to click and drag just the video from any given clip, leaving only
the audio, it drags both audio and video as one unit.......any way around
this, or is there another program i can use to assist?

===================================
To save only the audio track of a video clip...
drag the video to the "Audio/Music" track.
Then go to...File / Save Movie File...this
will result in a .wma audio file.

Now you can begin a project with your
video clip and mute the audio. Then drag
your new .wma file to the Audio/Music track.

Or simply drag the clip that you only want audio from to the Audio/Music
portion of the timeline.
If you do this then only the audio will be used and the video will be
ignored.
