maybe you should be careful, if you're not sure about what
files you handle:

Does MP3Clip work with VBR (variable bitrate files)?

MP3Clip has never actually been tested with VBR files. I predict
that MP3Clip will be able to cut VBR files but it might result
in a some loss (1-2 seconds) of audio. Due to the nature of the
way MP3Clip was coded it is also completely possible that it
will have no problems perfectly splitting vbr files. If you try
it on VBR files I would really appreaciate it if you could email
me with the results.

Also I can't find a word about if ID3-Tags v2 are handled.
