Split Archive File

I'm currently using Outlook 2003 with Exchange Server 2000.

My archive file is about 1.2GB...

Is there a way that I can break this hugh archive in to smaller ones. As an
example :

Archive1 = Years 1996-1999
Archive2 = Years 2000-2001
Archive3 = Years 2002-2003
Archive4 = Years 2004-

The only way I know of to do this is manually: Open the original Archive
file in Outlook via File | Open | Outlook Data File, then create some new
archive files using File | New, and drag and drop items between them. You
might poke around at www.slipstick.com and see if there are any 3rd party
programs that can automate the process for you.
