splash screen

I have been running WS_FTP Pro for years. Now when I open it, the splash
screen comes on, and it freezes. I cannot get rid of the splash screen
without rebooting. I checked for viruses, and indeed found several, and
got rid of them. Uninstalled WS_FTP and reinstalled. What can I do?

There's nothing special about a splash screen. It's just an image to look
at while the program is busy loading up - a visual indicator that the
program is loading. It is up to WS_FTP Pro to dismiss that screen when it
no longer serves a purpose. For some reason, that is failing and the screen
stays longer than is desired.

You might try pressing Escape when this happens. Or check the program's
settings for a "splash/no splash" toggle. If no luck, suggest that you
contact WS_FTP Pro support. They may have a workaround or a fix available.
