rid Access 2007 of its annoying Splash Screen (or replace it)

Can I remove the Access 2007 startup (splash) screen and/or replace it
altogether with a personalized one withouot designing a form? I want to
replace (or get rid of entirely) the Access program splash screen.

I haven't tested with Access 2007, but in previous versions, you could put a
bmp file with the same name as the database in the same folder (i.e.: if the
database is MyApp.mdb, you'd put a file MyApp.bmp in the same folder)

Should mention that if you make that bmp file a one pixel by one pixel
image, it'll look as though there's no splash screen.

Unfortunately, that simple procedure does NOT work in Access 2007, any other
suggestions? I hope that the answer is not to break into the program's
resource files (similar to XP changes), but I am prepared to go that route if
need be. Keep the suggestions coming. Thanx

I just tried it, and it does work for me.

You need to place a bmp picture with the SAME name (prefix) as the database.
and, it has to be a bmp file. I assume like any reasoned developer, you
turned off the hiding of file extensions....it not really possible to be a
developer and work on a windows box with extensions turned off!!!

Try it again with a given known picture. When you launch ms-access, you not
see the ms-access screen during the launch. Do note that on today's high
powered machines, the splash screen don't stay that visible for that long of
a time anyway.......

It works for both mdb, or accDB files.
