spider solitaire

All of a sudden my spider solitaire plays only in maximized windows mode.

Either it is minimized or maximized, not in wondows mode.

This happens only with spider solitaire. The other games run mormally.

What can I do?

Are you sure it's not actually in windowed mode, but just stretched to fill
the screen.

If you click on the middle icon in the top-right can you get it to switch to
showing just the one box? If so just try resizing the window itself by
moving the pointer over the edge and click-dragging.

Excuse the lack of knowledge at what all these little icons are called, I
grew up using RISC OS, which has it's own names for all these things.

I have exactly the same problem. The only "new" programs
added to my machine are ALL the WindowsXP updates and
security fixed. No idea on a solution...

Have you tried to remove Spider Solitaire and re-install it?
