spelling halts in Outlook Express

Greetings, I have installed Outlook Express and configured
spelling to check spelling before sending. Each time I
send an email spell check halts with this text "The Spell
Check on this Document has Halted. Do you want to send it
anyway?"

I've tried installing updates and SR-1 etc. Any ideas?
