Spelling and Grammar dialog appears spontaneously

I've had this happen several times now, over the last few weeks:

I'm editing a document, and in the middle of typing a change to the text,
the Seplling and Grammar dialog opens with the partially changed word
selected and flagged as a spelling error. I haven't gotten anywhere near the
F7 key, but somehow I'm invoking the Spellcheck command.

Any ideas why this might be happening?
