spellchecking between quotation marks

There should be a feature added to word to ignore grammar and spelling
mistakes between quotations, especially for creative writing or when taking a
quotation
I am not a programmer so I am not sure how much extra work this feature
would take.

This effect can be achieved in the current product without
programming.

First, define a new character style that turns off spelling and
grammar checks in text formatted with that style. Use these steps:

- In the Styles & Formatting task pane, click New Style.
- In the New Style dialog, set the name to NoSpell (or another name of
your choice), set the style type to Character, and check the "Add to
template" box at lower left.
- Click the Format button and select Language from the popup menu.
- In the Language dialog, click the name of the language you're using
and then click the "Do not check spelling or grammar" box so it
contains a checkmark. Click OK.
- Back in the New Style dialog, make sure the description says
"Default paragraph font + Do not check spelling or grammar,
English(US)" or whatever the language is. Click OK.

Once this style is defined, it will be saved in your Normal.dot
template and you won't have to do it again.

Now you can apply this style to text within quotation marks. If all
such text shouldn't be checked, you can use the Replace function to do
them all at once:

- In the Replace dialog, click the More button to expand the bottom
half.
- Check the box for "Use wildcards".
- In the Find What box, enter an asterisk between quotation marks:
"*"
- In the Replace With box, enter a circumflex and an ampersand:
^&
Click the Format button, select Style, and select the NoSpell style.
This style will be noted below the Replace With box.
- Click the Replace All button. If only some quotes should be
unchecked, use the Find Next and Replace buttons instead of Replace
All.

When you exit Word the first time after defining the style, you may be
asked whether to save changes to Normal.dot -- say yes.
