Spellcheck is not working correctly?

Lately I have noticed my spell check with Vista Mail has been hit or
miss.... If in a hurry and not sure of the correct spelling of a word I will
get it close and let spell check to fix it when I'm done, sometimes (not
all the time) it misses a misspelled word. Just last night I typed in
clostrophopic for "claustrophobic" and when I finished and ran spell check
it said "The spelling check is complete" and I knew I misspelled a word or
two including "clostrophopic".. Although today when I tried it spell check
found and corrected it.. Any ideas for the sporadic misses??

I haven't noticed any periodic lapses of my spell checker.
By any chance, are you running a non-compatible antivirus
such as McAfee or Norton? Those seem to cause erratic behavior
in Windows Mail.

Been running AVG since day one... Has there been any glitches with AVG and
Vista Mail?

AVG should be compatible IF it was installed using the custom install
option where you can opt out of installing the mail checking module.
