spell check with outlook express

Hi I just got a toshiba laptop with xp home not word but
works wordprocesser. Anyway I dont have spell check with
the outlook express. Thanks.

If you don't hav word then you will need to acquire a
product with a spell check for it to work in OE. There are
stand alone applications available also strictly to use the
OE spellcheck

Outlook Express, as you've discovered, has no spell-checking
capabilities of its own. Instead, it relies upon the presence of
other Microsoft applications, such as the Office Suite, Word, or the
Works _Suite_ (which includes Word, not the regular Works). There are
also some 3rd-party shareware/freeware solutions available at any of
the many shareware sites on the Internet

Spell Magic seems well thought-of, though I haven't tried it myself:
