Spell check wants to capitalize first word in each line. Fix?

In Word 2003 the spell check wants to capitalize the first letter of the
first word in each line. I also does not recognize that most sentences wrap
from one line to another. Is there a fix?

Sounds like every line ends in a hard return, which makes every
line a different paragraph. Word always thinks the first word of
a paragraph is the first word of a sentence. Did you copy and
paste the text from the internet? If yes, then see

Stop pressing the Enter key at the end of lines. Simply type and let Word
wrap your material. Adjust the margins or indents if you wish to change the
width. Each time you press the Enter key you are telling Word to start a new
paragraph (and thus a new sentence).
