Spell check quit

[H2Oc]

When I used to click "send" on any message in Outlook, it would automatically
check spelling and point out any needed corrections. A few days ago it just
started saying "The spelling in this item can't be checked. Try again later"
-- only there is no "later"

Can anyone tell me how to restore it?
