Tools menu>options>spelling>select 'always check spelling'>apply.

In the language section below, change the spelling language to another
one, French>apply/ok.

Then change it back to English again>apply/ok

HTH?

Consider dumping Norton?

If you had clicked the + sign next to Brent's message you would have seen
the solution.

So how you will find this I am not sure?

Tools menu>options>spelling>select 'always check spelling'>apply.

In the language section below, change the spelling language to another
one, French>apply/ok.

Then change it back to English again>apply/ok

by step....
thanks
Cindy

In the main screen of Windows Mail, (not the compose screen), go to
Tools, Options, Spelling.
First select another language, click Apply. Then reselect English and click OK.

Tools menu of the main page of Windows Mail>options>spelling tab>select
'always check spelling before sending'>apply.
Also:
In the language section below, change the spelling language to another
one, French>apply/ok.

Then change it back to English again>apply/ok

HTH?
