Spell check jumps around

Whenever I use my spell check or any similar "list" where you have a number
of choices to pick from (no matter what program), the highlighted choice
always jumps down to the bottom (it won't stay on the word I pick). Is there
a way to fix this problem? Thanks.

If you're using the standard spell checker supplied with Microsoft Office
products, this sounds like normal behavior when no fault is found with the
highlighted word. In the case where the highlighted word is indeed incorrect, it
could mean that your custom dictionary contains the incorrect spelling.

The custom dictionary can be modified from within MS Word via Tools > Options.
