It is better than your previous 1.6GHz computer.

That much memory is kinda overkill for normal usage.

And the hard drive could be better. You can get 1TB drives
that run at a constant 7200RPM, rather than being variable
speed or running at some weird speed like 5900 RPM.

Your copied description makes no mention of graphics capability.
If you play 3D games, then that can be an important factor.
If the graphics are "integrated" and the video connector
is mounted in the "I/O area" plate, then chances are the
3D graphics capabilities are pretty weak.

If you're using the computer mainly for Microsoft Word and email,
then the graphics choice hardly matters.

If you're going to post any more of these:

1) Post a URL to the site selling the product.

2) Tell us a little bit about how you intend to use
the computer. Are you a graphics artist (Photoshop) ?
Do you edit and make movies ? Do you only send emails ?
Do you play 3D computer games ?

Otherwise, we can't really give you good advice.

In terms of "fast", I can think of faster solutions, so the
specs you copied above, are not the fastest computer by
any stretch of the imagination.

This is a fast processor. 6 cores running at 3.33GHz. The price of
this processor is $1663 each.

This is a fast dual core processor. It too runs at 3.33Ghz. It
doesn't use as much electricity as the other one does. The computer
this one is installed in, would also be cheaper to purchase.

Actually,my first choice is an all in one PC. I know the normal desktop will
give me the line input but I don't want all the wires anymore..First off, I
want to digitize about 50 stereo analog cassette tapes which are completely
edited including 4 secs of dead silence between tracks... I want also the
machine to have a line input digitizing with separate tracks..I don't want
to use a UBS adapter as I don't know if it will deliver my music files in
stereo.. I want to quick surf the net and enjoy email...Everything else is
secondary to me.My goal is to spend between 600 to 800 dollars..I have done
alot of searching different manufacturers...Thanks,Nicolino

I don't know which model that is exactly, but the description here says the
sound solution is RealTek ALC269. This hardware might be similar to the
200T model.

This is the ALC269. As used in the HP computer, I don't see how the
second input can be used. One of the inputs is probably wired to
the microphone jack. The ALC269 has an integrated power amplifier, to
drive the speakers built into the all-in-one computer.

The reason I'm checking the sound jack, is to try to figure out whether
it is "normal" or not. The sound chip provided is pretty complex.
