Speed of screensaver

I have downloaded a screen saver with a snowman skiing
down a hill. Only, the snowman doesn't go down the hill.
He moves for a second, then stays still for several, moves
a second, stays for several, etc. Also, while I try to
view a cd of hockey players skating, instead of movement,
it is more like viewing photos. What is wrong? Help.
 
Does your graphics card share memory with main system as opposed to having
its own on-card memory. If it shares memory, this is likely the issue. You
need to see if your system has an AGP slot to accommodate such a card and if
the onboard card can be turned off. You'll need to check your system's
documentation or with the system builder in order to get this information.
