Speed of Micro SD for Nokia phone

I want to get a 2GB Micro SD memory card for my Nokia 6300 phone.

Are all Micro SD cards fast enough not to slow down any operations on
this phone? ISTR seeing one which ran at 12X.

BTW what has happened to Crucial? Not long ago it sold its memory at a
relatively cheap price but 2GB of Crucial Micro SD is £18 (I'm in the
UK). That's more than dealers are charging for Kingston, Sandisk, etc.

I have found 7dayshop (www.7dayshop.com) inexpensive and efficient for
memory, branded and unbranded. Their unbranded often shows up as
Toshiba on the pc. Sandisk 11.25 for 2 GB at the moment.

Even the slowest memory card available will not impede operation of the
phone.

But it will impede operation of the pc...

.... but the phone will be dead long before the memory card,
and then how reusable the memory card will be could depend
on it's speed. Also, the faster cards tend to be SLC
instead of MLC chips which gives them even more write
cycles, but to be sure, SLC should be noted on the card spec
sheet.
