How good is it? As a new XP / 2003 Office user, would users reccomend this
for college assignment writing? I have not used speech recognition programmes
before and wonder how difficult it would be to set up and use. Please air
your views. Thanks.

I haven't used this feature myself, but your satisfaction with it will
depend on several factors:

1. How fast a typist are you? If you are a reasonably competent typist, you
may find it quicker to type than to correct text produced by voice
recognition.

2. Do you have dictation experience? Remember, you have to dictate all the
punctuation and other formatting as well as the text (or else be prepared to
go back and put that in later).

3. Do you have time to train the software? It is only as good as you make
it, by correcting its initial mistakes.
