Speech recognition in Office Suite 2007

Was speech recognition left out of office 2007?

If so, Why!???

I have Parkinson's Disease and have difficulty in controlling my hand
movements.

How come I can use speech recognition in writing this message and not in
Word 2007?

I hope I'm just missing something. If not, I am terribly disappointed.

I've been a User, Developer, and Partner for almost 25 years. Now that I'm
teaching older adults how to use your products and I need you the most, you
fail me.

From the Word 2007 Help file:

What happened to speech recognition?
Speech recognition features are not available in the 2007 Microsoft Office
system programs.

To use speech recognition features, run Windows Speech Recognition in
Windows Vista. For information, see the links in the See Also section.

Notes

a.. If your operating system is Microsoft Windows XP, you must run a
previous version of a Microsoft Office system program to use speech
recognition features.
b.. In Microsoft Office Excel 2007, you can use text-to-speech
functionality, which is different from speech recognition. To use
text-to-speech commands, see I can't convert text to speech, which includes
the information.
