Special Characters

I recently got a new PC and reloaded Office XP. When I open a document that
I had created in the past every place that I had quotes or apostrophes are
changed to weird characters. Any ideas what setting causes this?

Does the doc perhaps use fonts that are not installed on the new system?

It sounds like it was either typed using a font the new
system doesn't have, or the language is different on
the new machine.
