Special Character

Doing something fundamentally wrong at this end! Wish to "generate" a
special, printable (and displayable) character - procedure is failing OR I
am failing to follow directions.

How do I create a Square Foot character? This character consists of a
diagonal (forward-slash stroke) printed over a square.

Two suggestions. First, your fonts have a lot of symbol. Each font can
have a different set of symbols. Possibly one of them has the symbol
that you're looking for. I have a CAD package with included a special
font that includes the square foot character. If none of your font
qualify, you could search the font factories via Google and see if one
of them has such a font. Good luck.

Went to the noted web site ~ no luck. Will try to Google my way around and
find the character (NOT looking for a font)

There is a way to 'build' the desired character - hopefully a MS MVP will
see this post and help.
